Lo'Gon Lombard is the Project Director of the Evergreen After School Club for the Indiana Area School District.
Lo’Gon, originally from New Orleans, LA, graduated from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. While working towards a Master's in Homeland Security, she discovered her true passion for education, leading to nearly a decade of teaching experience, including time spent with 2nd and 5th-grade students. Before moving, Lo’Gon worked in her community alongside First Harvest Food Bank and sponsoring her previous schools 4th and 5th Grade Ballroom Dance team as they competed against the other schools in the area. After relocating to Pennsylvania in 2022, she took on the role of Building Substitute at East Pike, contributing to the school community with enthusiasm.
In addition to her commitment to education, Lo’gon has a creative side and enjoys crafting with their Cricut, and sharing that creative side with her students.
What truly drives Lo’Gon in her role as Project Director is the opportunity to introduce students to new experiences and facilitate their growth.
“There’s nothing more rewarding for me than seeing the spark of understanding in a student’s eyes when they master a new skill or step beyond their comfort zone for the first time.” Contact information: Lo'Gon Lombard, 412-289-4346, llombard@iu28.org
