Samantha Nichols is the Project Director of the Evergreen After School Club for the Indiana Area School District. Originally from Western New York, Sam is an alumna of the State University of New York at Potsdam, where she received a bachelor's degree in Anthropology. In her nearly 10 years in education, Sam has worked building programs with youth serving nonprofits such as the YMCA and YWCA, The Boys & Girls Club of America and The Girl Scouts of Western New York, where she is a lifetime member. When she’s not working in one of Indiana’s programs Sam enjoys hiking, traveling, and watching the Buffalo Bills.
Sam’s favorite part of her job is connecting her staff and students:
“I really enjoy when one of our kids makes a bond with our staff and you can see enrichment happening on both sides. We all have fun every single day in Evergreen club, but seeing that kind of safe space being created and reinforced intentionally is what I think makes our programs special.” Contact information: Samantha Nichols, 412-289-4346 snichols@iu28.org
