Professional Guest Instruction
Once per month, Evergreen After School Club brings experts from various professions directly into the after-school program to provide interactive, skill-based sessions for students. These sessions are designed to spark curiosity, teach new skills, and expose students to a wide array of career and hobby possibilities.
Professionals may include:
- Artists and Musicians – Painting, drawing, sculpting, or playing instruments.
- Actors and Dancers – Drama workshops and dance lessons.
- Athletes and Coaches – Sports clinics and team-building exercises.
- Police Officers and Firefighters – Safety education and community service insights.
- Mechanics and Farmers – Basic car repair skills and agricultural know-how.
- Environmentalists and Scientists – Hands-on STEM activities and conservation projects.
Special Saturday Mini-Camps
Once per month, Kids Connectwill offer 3–5 hour mini-camps hosted in the community. These camps will provide immersive experiences that build on the after-school curriculum and connect students with local resources and opportunities.
Features of the Mini-Camps:
- Activities designed to be hands-on and engaging, such as museum tours, environmental clean-ups, cooking workshops, nature explorations.
- Multiple small group sizes for personalized attention.
